Well, as many of us were told by Mr. Sherwood while he & the Ex Mayor ( boy, doesn't that sound good) were leaving people hanging about what was going to happen to them, their jobs and futures, "We'll get throughout it". For months that was the response Mr. Sherwood gave when employees had questions about their futures.

To both these guys, the only advice I can give is "You'll get through it." But your reputations won't. I just pray that the damage done can be corrected.

Robin is scaring me. The kind of reporting she is describing reminds me of when I was younger and you could count on the newspapers to tell you when an elected official was doing something wrong, regardless of their party. It was once the job of the press to hold politicians accountable, but somehow they abandoned that responsibility and became propaganda machines for the very politicians they were supposed to be holding accountable. I am ashamed to admit that I once delivered the New Britain Herald, now I wouldn't even use it as a bird cage liner--for fear of offending the birds.

If Robin keeps her promise to report the news without putting her own spin on it, it will be a refreshing change that should take her paper far.

I might just start fantasizing about a time when I was much younger and the world was a different place.
