During last night's council
meeting with the Mattabassett board of directors the common council replacing a Democrat member Edward Sasso with a former Alderman Paul Cantanzaro [ D ] which
amazingly received Alderman DeFronzo's approval when the roll call vote
took place giving David the appearance of a conflict of interest since Paul is
David's wife's brother in-law.
I guess the Democrats never need to abstain when it comes to helping
an in-law.
Paul was the Council's liaison to the Mattabasset District while serving
as an Alderman but does not bring the experience that former Mayor Pawlak would
have brought to the table.
As I also recall, being a former Mattabassett Board member myself, that Paul
only showed up when there was a dinner involved as our liaison.

Keep in mind that Alderman DeFronzo is a leftover remnant of the failed and corrupt Sherwood/O'Brien administration, and therefore every vote he makes needs to be scrutinized and publicized.
"The Don" is already busy planning his son's 2015 mayoral campaign, and if history repeats, he's most likely doing so on government time, i.e. the taxpayer's dime.
Did it almost break the budget when Paul showed up for the free food?
Lucien is the laughing stock of the entire city after being unanimously rejected by his own party--like some piece of garbage!
And they kept the felon on the district board. We all know he is the Chair of the commission.

Not sure i see the conflict? its not like that is a paid position, nor did Alderman DeFronzo put Catanzaro's name forward.
The conflict is you should recluse yourself from any binding votes involving members of family. Duh

#2 there was no financial gain, so who cares?
i bet almost every commission that the city has ever put together has a relative of at least 1 council member. who cares?
they are volunteer positions...
i am all for going after people for doing wrong, but this one is weak.
But David is not a volunteer because Alderman get paid.
even the ones who don't pay their taxes still get paid.

It doesn't end with this. Bielinski also has a conflict with the hiring by her and Trueworthy of Bielinski's niece , Greg Gerratana's wife. Bielinski says she recused herself but that was a lie … she voted for Gerratana's wife !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How can you tell if a Democrat is lying? Check to see if their lips are moving!
Did I read somewhere that the convicted felon was reappointed at Mattabassett?
