This is an appeasement to the unions and is intentional to forcibly close up these volunteer operations because they are taking away union jobs by working for free. Once the socialists are able to get rid of these anti-union volunteer organizations, the towns will be forced to hire union members and generate millions of dollars of forced union dues into union coffers to fund more lavish trips for union executives who already live like kings off the money they forcibly take out of the paychecks of working men and women.
Since most firefighters are liberals, they no doubt voted for Obama. I wonder how that "hope and change" thing is working for them now?
Its a Union thing which Obama supports because they supported him.
