Mayor do not raise the mill rate. We never see where the money is spent and the school system has been the same for the past 60 years. Keep driving taxpayers out of the city.

school vouchers would be the solution because the parents could then choose to send their children to private schools instead of inferior union public schools and the more parents that chose to send their children to the private schools, the more teachers that could simply be eliminated from the budget!

other then car taxes, do Gerratana, Sanchez, Terczyzk, Lopes or Boukus own property or send there children, grandchildren to schools in New Britain. They school can not motive students who do not want an education. You have to want an education. According to the Hearld the BOE owe the city 8 million.

I was told Sherwood of all people gave the NB delegation and State Board people a copy of a press release and notes O'Brien and he had on the extra money. They discussed that this is money they expected to come year after year and raise the MBR. Unfortunately, the state will probably consider intent of the action along with whatever they think the current law is.
