The general consensus on Pastor Will's show today is that New Britain is being punished for electing a Republican Mayor and that Malloy's fingerprints are all over this.

According to a Journal Inquirer article, the city will basically be better off without the team because the city doesn't make any money off of them and has to employ 60 people to run the park, so the only losers would appear to be the 60 people who will now lose their part time jobs.

Another story in the same paper also reported that the team contacted Governor Malloy weeks ago for help with this move, but they also say Malloy denies meeting with them. So much for Malloy's latest lies denying that he had anything to do with this!

Hartford is being a little disingenuous in describing the new location for the Rock Cats Stadium as being "Downtown." Al Terzi identified the address as being in the 1200 block of Main Street, which is North of I-84 with the closest major intersection being Main St at Albany Avenue in what is considered the North End.

If anyone thinks that people are going to flock to the North End of Hartford for a ball game, then they are delirious!
