The fact that HRA is a non profit is not a factor at all! It is a specious argument and Trueworthy and DeFronzo know it.
Before the Democrats waived the taxes the HRA deed showed that taxes were being paid yearly. In addition, Mayor O'Brien and the Council Democrats violated the existing by waiving the taxes. That's a loss to New Britain of approx. $5 million dollars over the span of 20 yrs. Why is this all right with the Dems.

Alderman DeFronzo conveniently suggests that taxpayers are suffering with an 11% tax increase this year, however, his memory is short. DeFronzo forgets that O'Brien raised the mil rate by 8 mills; Mayor Stewart raised the mill rate 4 mils.

I hope Target stands up to these commies instead of just picking up and leaving like Walmart did. Target's lawyers ought to be able to tie up this Costco deal in court for at least 20 years.
