Public hearing held by the City's Comman Council on the proposed sale of the Patton Brook well to the City of Farmington, Ct.

FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:

At the Patton Well public hearing held by the common council, this Thursday evening,  interesting remarks were offered by Dr. William Ostapchuk and John McNamara the Democratic Party Chairman;

 Doctor Ostapchuk subsequent to hearing Mr. Powkowski, chairman of the water commission board of directors, indicated that his commission approved the sale of the Patton Brook well to the City of Southington, Ct asked a simple question “Have you investigated getting Ct Funding that is available through the state for water conservation and have you applied for It?”    Offering his opposition to the sale of this water resource for the city.
 An other interesting comment offered by Mr. McNamara with his asking the common council “if they had obtained a true value appraisal as to the real value of the property concerning this sale.”

Ostopchuk and McNamara. Birds of a feather and always looking to be a hindrance to anything proposed by a Republican Mayor.
