If nothing else came of this, the gay community learned that they don't have a friend in Mr. Trueworthy no matter how much he may smile to their faces.

DTC Chair McNamara trotted out his usual cadre of barely understandable Democrat potted plants to support Trueworthy. People like Mario Santos, Francicco Cuin, the self proclaimed intellectual Yvette Gannim and the drama Queen, aka weeping willow, Sharon Barretta. Led by their Adolf Eichman impersonator, aka dec Chair with a supporting cast of former O'Brien sycophants like Rasha Brown and Rose Klotz these folks bored us to tears for90 minutes.

The best show of all came when it was time to vote; the usual loquacious Carlozzi was limited to one word, NO after after Defronzo entertained with his nonsensical diatribe re the Charter.

Fortunately, the newspaper accounts, at least today's were fairly accurate

We came together to make it clear that we would not tolerate the hate and the division and the ignorance that was been spewed by the insecure members of the GOP. This is daily event that occurs nationally and that is the reason why we do not seen to be able to address the issues that really affect and matter most to American voters! Get a life!

#3 The Hate , Division and ignorance you speak of can from the head DEM in NB MIKE TRUEWORTHY !!!!!!!! The GOP in town as you call them, though they are R, D, and I's (a mixed slate not just D's as the NB DTC runs) wanted the truth, and a racist gay hating jerk to be held to answer for what he did. So if you dont understand that Dave DeFronzo too bad, you and your evil racist, woman hating party will soon have to step up and pay in next Nov in the election by losing at the hand of the voters.

It wasn't any member of the GOP that went to a local bar and verbally attacked the owners for being gay. If you are looking for someone spewing hatred, you best look among the members of the Democratic party on the council. Clearly to party of tolerance has no tolerance for homosexuals--at least not in New Britain.

The message I see the council sending out loud and clear is that gays are not welcome in New Britain even if they happen to own a business.
