So, to save jobs we will build billions of dollars worth of useless military weapons systems, putting us farther in debt. Doing so makes no sense to us and guarantees a gloomy existence for our children and grandchildren.

Redirect those defense dollars and jobs into wind, solar, and nuclear energy industries and toward rebuilding our infrastructure, including mass rail and light-rail trolley and sub-way transit.

If the issue is really jobs, we have plenty of polluted rivers, lakes, and land to clean up and millions of distressed homes, apartments, schools and other buildings to raze and rebuild.

There is no end of work-worthy assignments such as the CC's in the 30's.

We are all for technological advancement in military hardware, but we can skip a generation here. So, why waste more money.

The M1 Abrams tank came into service almost 30 years ago, and it is still generations ahead of anything the enemy has. We don't need new tanks right now.

The A-10 is the most effective ground attack plane ever invented, and 25 years after it went into service it still has no close competitor, yet the Military-Industrial Complex wants it decommissioned.

Why? So the government will have to pay billions to replace it.
