Mr. Smith,
Much of what has been done by the federal government in the last 4 months has either been in violation of the U.S Constitution, or has been at the minimum, overstepping their authority by doing things that are clearly not authorized by the Constitution.
Why would you think they would care about the first amendment, when they clearly couldn't care less about any other article or amendment to that document?
We are witnessing a bunch of out of control power mongers who will do what ever they want and don't care how they have to do it to get away with it. To quote from Nancy Pelosi whenever someone questions this runaway spending and out of control government: "We won!" as if running the country were some pie eating contest at the county fair.
I truly believe you haven't seen anything yet, and it is about time "We the people" started opening their eyes to what is happening to their country.
When they came for the banks, I didn't speak out, because I wasn't a banker.
When they came for Wall Street, I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trader.
When they came for the car companies, I didn't speak out because I wasn't a car dealer....
Who's next?
I heard the President talk recently about the need for government bailout and takover of the newspapers. Maybe that is next? Government run and controlled newspapers, just like the car companies.
