NEW BRITAIN BUSINESS ESTABLISHED IN 1888, AT IT'S SECOND RELOCATION
Mag & Son was started in New Britain in 1885--supplying men’s clothing, uniforms and work clothes to both organizations and individuals. They always had a salesperson covering New England and Eastern New York. With the advent of the internet, the company became national and even international.
The company reestablished in Berlin Conn. and currently they are now located at 171 Pascone Place in Newington, Ct. The current owners are Nathan E, and Henry Mag.
They are continuing to provide their customers: security guards, police officers, ambulance and emergency medical personnel, and fire department personnel with uniforms. They also have industrial wear that are flame resistant if required. They pride themselves with the fact that they are able to meet the mandates of the DOT and OSHA with whatever protective clothing is needed under those regulations.
Their custom made division has expanded to include large people’s uniforms, work clothing, and custom-made apparel. Mr. Nathan E. Mag is proudly shown in the photo displaying a custom uniform made for the First Company Governor’s Foot Guard.
As I arrived to interview Mr. Mag, two Police officers were just finishing placing orders for their uniform needs.

The Mag family is one of the most respected families in the uniform business here in Connecticut.
I wish them well in their latest endeavor.
I have made many purchases at the old Magson's in the past. I have not yet visited the new store, but I am planning on it soon.
I've been looking for a place to buy some uniform items that would offer better customer service than the local place I have been going. Thanks for the information about this place. I will definitely pay them a visit to see what they have.
