Great News!
The Common Council has on their agenda for next week, a proposal or a resolution to sell the Pinnacle Heights property for a sum of $5,000,000 to a second buyer after the first failed to consummate their deal for an additional $1,000,000.
Another deal including the sale of the downtown property located 121-131 Main Street for $2,000,000 with an added provisional clause for approval of building plans and lease back of a portion of the facility for use as a police station to Arete Development Group.
And lastly, a resolution for negotiating an agreement to finalize the arrangements with the Hospital of Central Connecticut for ending the ground lease which currently expires December 31, 2013. The resolution would authorize the Mayor to negotiate the termination of this agreement with the hospital two years earlier for an undetermined sum to be negotiated by the mayor.
These initiatives should not be interfered with by rumors or innuendos that occurred in the past regarding any or these developers who are planning to invest in our city.
We should all show the mayor our support on these issues so he can bring the city the best deals possible.

I'm sure the professional agitators like Truworthy, Sherwood and McNamara will find ways to screw all these deals up. They will be dead set against them because those rich people will be benefiting from the deals, and not a bunch of liberals who live off the backs of the working people who work hard and pay their taxes.

Don DeFronzo spent 4 years as Mayor of NB. Also 8 years as Chirman of the Board of the NB Housing Authority. He has said that his focus was on the neighborhoods and not on commercial development. He failed miserably at both jobs. Now he and his state representative cohorts are working hard to block or stop anything positive attempted by Mayor Stewart.
They have been joined by DTC Chair "Little Mac" and Council wackos, Trueworthy, Bielinski, Hermanowski, Sherwood and Gerratana. The other 8 Dems are just there to vote. When was the last time the NB Dems on the Council and our State delegation did anything positive for NB?
THESE ARE EXACTLY THE GROUP OF AGITATORS THAT WILL DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO ADVANCE THESE DEALS, AND WILL DO EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER TO THROW MONKEY WRENCHES INTO ALL OF THE MAYOR'S EFFORTS FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF THEIR SOCIALIST AGENDA AT THE COST OF THE TAXPAYING PUBLIC.
IT IS TIME FOR THE PUBLIC TO WAKE-UP TO THEIR GAMES AND GET RID OF THESE RADICAL EXTREMISTS IN THE UPCOMING ELECTION. TAKE YOUR GOVERNMENT BACK!
Frank: good to hear your the new mouthpiece and delivery boy for the mayor; mighty impressive getting called into the mayor's office. Huh?
Can't imagine who submitted the anonymous post at 8:02 p.m. but he should learn the difference between "Your" and "You're." Is that like some high level democrats calling the Herald and spreading rumors?

Must be a product of the New Britain School System. I am so glad that we pay every teacher $90,000 a year plus free health care!
If it appears like he is carrying the mayor's message, maybe that is because the mayor is the only one who has a vision for the city.
All the Democrats seem to do is work to find ways to bring this city down by pushing their socialist agenda onto the rest of us.
As usual, the Democrats under the misguided leadership of McNamara have nothing positive to offer:
no vision
no solutions
no plan
just nasty attacks on the mayor.
When they don't like the truth, because it normally proves them wrong and works against their socialist agenda, they launch viscous attacks on those who are working to resolve real issues.
Give it up Little Mac, the public is wise to your childish games.
McNamara accuses the mayor of "failure to communicate" maybe he should try something new like shutting up and listening.
