What brain surgeons those inbreds in Bristol are. Scrap the busway & lose $50 million. Where were these idiots for the last TWELVE YEARS?!

Sure screw New Britain. Now there's a new one. Cut a highway through the City. Then don't build a portion of it for years (Highway to nowhere). Kill its downtown. Now purchase key downtown property, keep it vacant for 12 years now scrap the project? And why? For Bristol to BEGIN a 20 year PLAN for maybe a rail line?

Not in our lifetime.

Sorry. Nicastro is a moron.

Nicastro is proving he is about as disconnected from reality as Obama is. Obama keeps pushing for European rail systems which Americans have demonstrated they will not ride. Amtrak runs empty trains every day, costing the American taxpayers billions in lost revenue.

Rather than radicals like Nicastro and Obama transforming this country into a European socialist nation, wouldn't it be cheaper for all Americans if the two simply moved to the European socialist country of their choosing?

"From Don Stacom's Courant article, 2/13/10: •Opponents argue that restoring the Waterbury-to-Hartford rail line would be cheaper and more efficient and would help Bristol and communities to the west that gain little from the busway.

•The third group acknowledges that the rail alternative looks more appealing, but also says that it isn't realistic: There's no plan, no design work and no hope of funding for many years."

Why does Stacom continue to give these Bristol blockheads print? As quoted from Stacom; "There's no plan, no design work and no hope of funding for many years." And yet, these blockheads say; "Opponents argue that restoring the Waterbury-to-Hartford rail line would be cheaper and more efficient and would help Bristol and communities to the west that gain little from the busway." Where do they come up with such a stupid statement for which there have been NO STUDIES AND NO PLANS OF ANY KIND?
Still, New Britain's State Senator, Don DeFronzo, supports Bristol's claims! Time for a Mass.-style purge of NB's State Senator.
