Under current CT law nearly all public employees must be unionized and their contracts placed outside the democratic process through binding arbitration.
As a result CT public employees are compensated far better than the average worker, their compensation takes priority over everything else in government, and government becomes little more than a pension and benefit society for its employees — whose unionized employee compensation is what CT government does best.
Newark cutting toilet paper to help close $70 million budget deficit.
The direction the Democrats are taking this country in is leading New Jersey's biggest city to require city employees to bring their own toilet paper to work.
With the lunatic fringe controlling New Britain's City Council, can we be far behind?
School Vouchers are the solution. Wouldn't most parents like to be able to decide what school their child attends, or do you think they believe in their hearts that a bureaucrat like Doris Kurtz should make that decision for them?
Eleven percent of Americans say they have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in Congress, down from 17% in 2009 and a percentage point lower than the previous low for Congress, recorded in 2008.
This is the lowest approval rating ever recorded for Congress in the 35 years that Gallop has been conducting this poll.
I can only imagine how low the approval rating would be for the New Britain Council?
WHERE'S THE TEACHER'S UNION WITH REAL CONCESSIONS? I GUESS THERE WILL BE 50 LESS VOTING FOR THE PROPOSAL, IF THERE IS ONE. SO MUCH FOR THE "IT'S FOR THE KIDS" RHETORIC.

Compare that number to how many own TVs; compare this to how many know where is the public library and/or have a library card; compare all of these to how many subscribe to a newspaper. This to me is what is really sad, an uninformed or underinformed populace. Result? Somebody else is to blame! "

50 is a good start, but 200 would be better!

Vouchers are the way to go. Everyone benefits with vouchers except for the radicals and their unions.
