Even better is Dan Malloy's demand for $2 billion in state employee union concessions.

I guess the blank check the unions expected from Danno is expired!

So basically the Hartford Courant is exposing Terry's lies, is that the real story?

Hammering at an issue that Democrats hope will sink Mayor Timothy Stewart's run for state Senate, NB council president Michael Trueworthy has called for the city to temporarily stop buying products or services from businesses owned by two elected officials, Mark Bernacki and Willie Pabon.

Trueworthy said Monday 02/14/11 that he's basing the proposal on Democratic State Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo's declaration last week that she was asking the chief state's attorney to investigate no-bid contracts during Stewart's administration.

But on Monday afternoon, the chief state's attorney said it had never seen any such request. We've received no complaint on that matter, spokesman Mark Dupuis said.

Who in New Britain will be suing who and/or whom in court for damages -Democratic State Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo - NB Alderman Mike Trueworthy, etc. ?

Keep electing those democrats!

No, he did not demand concessions. He is asking state employees to give him ideas that could save the state $2 billion. Don't kid yourself, the blank check book to the union is still open.

Recently, on this blog, somebody described Trueworthy as a "trainwreck."

Is there anyone out there that is not convinced? The man is out of touch with reality. Is there any Council Democrat that is willing to admit that Mike is a "trainwreck?"

Just so that you're not duped during the next election, I'd like to translate some common Democratic terms to assist you.

1. Everything is on the table - that means they're going to raise your taxes but they don't know by how much

2. All options are up for consideration - means they're going to raise your taxes and they already have a deal in the works

3. We're going to work with the union to find some cost savings - they're going to raise your taxes and not get any concessions

4. By investing in _______ now, we save money in the long run - they're going to raise your taxes to benefit all the organizations that contributed to their campaigns

5. We plan for this just to be a one-time source of revenue - they're going to raise your taxes the following year

6. We all must share the pain - they're going to raise taxes on the middle class and small business owner

7. Any sentence that includes the phrase "most vulnerable citizens" and is followed by housing, jobs or transportation - they're going to raise your taxes and give it to social services programs

8. Any phrase that includes "children" and "future" - they're going to raise your taxes to benefit the teacher's union

9. Any time the word "public employees" is used - they're going to raise your taxes to put their relatives and friends in patronage jobs

10. This measure will provide training and job creation - they're going to raise your taxes and waste it on a failing program

I hope this was helpful.

Dwight, the bottom line is that Democrats don't know how to do anything but raise our taxes so they can give our hard earned money to people that these elitists believe deserve it more than those of us who worked hard to earn it.
