Democrats are, as usual, up to their old tricks again; rolling out the ancient and war-weary clichés and charges that Republicans are racists and geared up to prevent the “poor blacks” from getting to the polls to exercise their constitutional right to vote.
NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH:
If it weren' for Republicans, blacks would still be slaves, would still not have the right to vote, and would still not have equal rights. Even the Democrat's own hero, JFK fought long and hard to prevent blacks from ever getting equal rights. JFK had a long history of votes intended to keep the black man down--where the Kennedys obviously believed they belonged. It was JFK who voted AGAINST the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as a Senator, and it was Richard Nixon who led the fight for Republicans to grant blacks equal rights over the objections of almost every Democrat in Congress.
Richard Nixon was such a champion of equal rights for blacks, that it was his leadership on this one issue that led the Republicans to giving him the nomination for president.
Republicans have always been the champions of equal rights for blacks, which is why Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, his father and grandfather were all proud Republicans.
Democrats have a 200 plus year history of working to prevent blacks from ever succeeding, which is why I am always amazed that any thinking black person would willingly affiliate with the party that has a history of intentionally oppressing his/her entire race simply based on the racism that is the Democratic party.
