Frank:

A Herald, on line commenter wrote; “The leaders felt that (what Stewart was proposing) was unreasonable.

Then prepare to tell your members that dozens will lose their jobs. That's what's at stake here. There is NO MORE MONEY!!!"

Mayor Stewart has a job to do to keep New Britain taxes stable for this year. If everything he tries to do is thwarted either by the Common Council, the general public or the city workers' unions, what the quoted Herald commenter predicted will have to come true. And, the Mayor has limited time to act and act he will and must.

God forbid these leaches should actually pay something for their health care.

Isn't that what their Messiah called "paying their fair share?" Or does that just apply to everyone else while these union thugs continue to suck ever last dime they can from the taxpayers?

A conservative think tank accused by state employee unions of meddling in their labor deal with the governor has been told to leave Trinity College's campus.
The college notified the Yankee Institute for Public Policy last week that it will stop renewing the organization's lease for the second floor of a college-owned house on the northern edge of campus. The institute must vacate its headquarters there by year's end, said Paul Mutone, the private college's vice president for finance and operations.
