What another joke this report is ! They continue to make this city the laughing stock of the state with their actions.

Timothy Stewart -This panel didn't even talk with any of the staff in my office that were handling the logistics of this storm response on a daily basis. Use the report for kindling as that is all it is useful for. The comments from Alderman DeFronzo would suggest that he has some expertise in this area? What a joke this entire administration is. They have spent the past 8 months doing nothing but criticizing my administration to attempt to make themselves look better. You have a long way to go folks!
The fact is we had unprecedented cooperation form the Board of Education and its employees that assisted with the storm which incidentally is way outside of their work functions. I wrote an exewcutive order that made all personnel available during this storm and the only department that came up short in their operations was the fire department whose chief was out of town during the incident. Most all of the other city personnel stepped up and did a terrific job in rersponding to the many situations that presented themselves during that hectic week.
As for the Red Cross' involvement? They never contacted me or was I made aware of their attempt to get involved in our shelter operations. We opened the city's shelter on Sunday afternoon and at best we had maybe 50 people stay overnight. It was closed on Friday because of the lack of participation with the residents. By the way we utilized the BOE's emergency contact system to notify a large potion of out residents what services and rations would be available daily with the help of Acting Superintendant Ron Jakubowski. essentially a Reverse 911 notification system. I could go on but the end result was that utilizing the city personnel the way I did resulted in a cost savings to the city of over $600,000. That is something I am very proud of! #30#

They have to attack Stewart because these liberals have no record of their own, no accomplishments to run on--nothing but failure--so they have to distract from their own abysmal record by trying to blame someone else for their own disastrous failure.

It's apparent that Sherwood is yet doing his dirty tricks act via Alderman Dave DeFronzo. You may recall that DeFronzo continued the attack on Bernacki and Pabon that was begun by Sherwood. "It's deja vu all over again." How come the Courant got this story but not the Herald? Another scoop by Stacom !! C'mon Robert!

I forgot who were the members that made up the investigation "panel." All "trained investigators" I presume. What is the reaction of our Acting Fire Chief to this report? Or, as the the title says, is he just acting the part?

What a travesty!

The acting chief was a part of the ommittee another joke! All partisans on the committee except for Dan Davis who really doesn't know that much about emergency operations anyways. Paul Zagorski was the chair and has it out for Stewart because of his personal lunacy against the Costco deal.
He's an attorney by the way and a bad one at that!

Eventually the investigators will discover how deeply involved the extended DeFronzo Famiglia is in the CRT. It should be interesting.
