The O'Brien Administration is Blaming The Stewart Administration.
How can that be when all budgets were approved by a Democratic Majority of the Common Council?

Realistically, wouldn't it be more accurate to refer to the current administration as the Sherwood administration?
Whatever wasn't Stewart's fault must have been George Bush's fault.
Whatever wasn't Stewart's fault must have been George Bush's fault.
A monkey could do a better job than either of these bozos.
The Myth of the Sherwood virus the "Structural Budget Deficit".
What is even more remarkable is that this "Structural Budget Deficit" virus was only recently discovered in New Britain, CT, but once found in one city, is now found in city after city throughout the U.S. and Canada!
This new virus referred to as the "Structural Budget Deficit" is now rampant in every town & city throughout the nation. In New Britain the embattled Finance Director Bob Curry was fired when he came under scrutiny over the size of the city's Structural Budget Deficit and now the blame for virus is shifting to the Ex-Mayor Stewart's administration.
It's a shame this is the only "media" that is asking this question.
O'Brien says as many as 130 city employees could be laid off if unions make no concessions. He has called for union unions to pay half of their health insurance and increase their co-payments.
Do O'Brien, Chief of Staff Klotz and Deputy Chief of Staff Sherwood get City health insurance? Will they pay half of their premiums and have large co-pays for doctor visits?
Of course, all the bad news being regurgitated by the O'Brien/Sherwood administration must be Stewart's fault. When will O'Brien/Sherwood announce the cut in or elimination of city services to the roughly 50% of NB citizens that are taxpayers? Of course that is if the unions don't accede to O'Brien's demands.
Along with the possible decline in city services will entitlements decrease?
