In England

I was left speechless at the absolute stupidity in England. A guy us running around with a gun killing people all over town, and the police can't find anyone that owns a gun to stop him because guns are outlawed even for the police. Must be a country run by the same kind of ignorant moron Democrats we have here in New Britain.

Once again, Americans have had to endure another mass killing, this time of innocent children. And, once again, Americans are asking how many more times must this happen? Some are calling for more gun laws as a solution.

While the intention is noble, posting "Gun Free Zone" signs on school campuses sends a signal to any armed perpetrator that they will find no resistance there. I have an alarm system on my house and car. I post signs around my home from the alarm company, but I would never post a sign saying "I have an alarm system but my next door neighbor doesn't". That is essentially what we're doing with the Gun Free Zones.

Armed guards on every campus may be a solution but a better one would be school personnel trained in the use of their firearm and carrying concealed.

Look at the Harrold, Texas school district. They've had concealed carry on campus since 2008 with zero incidents of violence. Anonymity is the key. What advantage do these mass killers have? We don't know who they are until it's too late.

An armed guard is a visible target that might be taken out first. But when the shooters don't know who is able to stop them and who is vulnerable, they will seek an easier target.

The question we should be asking is not "Why?" or "How many more times?" but "Who will stop the next shooter in his tracks and protect the innocent?"
