Time and again, New Britain
taxpayers have been exposed to a series of lies by the O’Brien Administration
regarding property taxes, funding sources for positions created, and funding
sources for hiring lobbyists and PR firms of personal friends of Mayor O’Brien
- thus far it is impossible to note any positive and tangible benefits to
citizen taxpayers from these friends to the City. The Mayor’s Executive Aide
and Deputy Chief of Staff are out of towners. I guess no New Britain folks need
a job.
Thus far, The Department structure
of the City has been decimated with twenty two departments having been cut to
six. Calls to city offices requesting services or help elicit the same
response, to wit, “... well, you know, we’re short staffed now.””
The most egregious lie from O’Brien,
thus far is, “... there will be no increase in property taxes!” Anybody that
pays taxes knows that in particular, taxes on most motor vehicles increased.
Many have also seen an increase in real estate taxes.
Yet, of the Council candidates
profiled most have indicated that their proudest vote thus far was voting
in favor of O’Brien’s latest City budget, a budget containing false revenue
projections, e.g., revenue from the Hospital Parking Garage. This garage shall
be the property of the hospital after this year is over! Stay tuned, more to
come.

Lou speaks the truth. He's telling you like it is and you don't have the brains enought to even hear it. Says a whole lot more about you than anything else, don't you think. From Washington, to Hartford and local we are stuck in a Perfect Storm of Stupid!

Your comment sounds like stuff generated from computers in State LOB , kind of like a couple of years ago when the child of one of our state legislators worked there and was caught slandering Mayor Stewart. Is that child still working there and and he still doing Lopes' dirty work?
isn't that same child running for tax collector on O'Brien's ticket?
Imagine what you can do with access to the computers in the tax collector's office!
Mr. Salvio could be a good person on the council. I think he attacks people too much and can come across as old or too angry.
A good friend of mine is one of the leaders of the democrats town commission and his reaction to Mr. Salvio said it all. He said they were excited he was running because, in his words, "he makes our team look reasonable". They also said the two people he is running against won by the largest margins last time and have very little chance of being beat by someone like Salvio.

I thought you were better than others at times say you are. I'm beginning to think that you come across as over=aggressive and an angry individual is because you are one.

None of these Democrats can write their own stuff because that would require a brain. They simply pass on talking points assigned to them by their communist leadership.
Lou is correct on many of the stances he takes. No enough people have the courage to say what they think and instead go along.
I'm personally tired of defending his aggressive nature though. He often attacks people personally - and I don't think he realizes it when he's doing it. As a result many people ignore him and that is too bad. He was a good council person at times we all know he can't win in the new ward he is running in.
To all you naysayers about me, Lou Salvio. You are simply , in my mind, cowards. How can I attack someone that does not exist, even at his own terms. I don't know you, know who you are and ergo, I would be foolish to attack a non entity. Yes, the fact that I respond to you mens nothing other than I wish to show you how foolish you are to attack not a person, but a philosophy with which you do not agree. I can't care about that. Predicting that I will lose, BIG DEAL!

Lou, that is not true, this is first election where you don't have be registered and can walk in and vote on election day.

Election Day registration benefits democrats in every state it has passed. It allows the free loaders who can't get their sh&t together and register like everyone else use to just walk in day of and vote.
