Also the elimination of corporate taxes would bring US businesses back to the US to actually make stuff here again.

A consumption tax would also ensure that the underground economy, people working under the table (or illegals), would finally begin paying their "fair share" as liberals love to say about the "rich".; May 31, 2009 at 12:00 PM

The problem with this logic is that Congress is planning to add this 25% sales tax in addition to the income taxes. They would never consider eliminating the income tax when they could get both taxes and then spend even more trillions of our dollars bloating government even more.

This would destroy any chance of there ever being any jobs in this country (except government jobs) and you will end up with 300 million people living off the government handouts--a true socialist utopia. No one works, everyone just sits around and waits for their government check!

Overtaxed Citizen said...: We are being taxed to the hilt now...Federal Income tax, State income tax. state sales tax, excise taxes, inheritance taxes, not to mention "sin taxes".
