JFK'S Wishes not Carried Out by the Obama Administration
By failing to honor the slain police officers at the national service on the steps of the Capitol this year, President Obama has failed to carry on the wishes of the late, great President John F. Kennedy, who issued Proclamation 3537 just 6 months before his death. In that proclamation, President Kennedy called for all Americans to join in honoring our law enforcement officers during what he declared as "National Police Week," to be held during the week of May 15th, each year.
It was an insult to each law enforcement officer in the nation, and their families, that the President would prefer to entertain a profession sports team instead of performing his duties to the families of the men and women who died protecting our nation.

Police Memorial Week
Hello everyone,
For those of you who do not know, I was in Washington D.C. this past week, May 10-16 for "police week." It is a week to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving as a law enforcement officer in the United States . I attended with the Honor Guard team from my police department
The week is filled with various events to honor fallen police officers and their families. To provide you with Just a little background, May 15 was established by President John Kennedy as "Peace Officers Memorial Day" and the calendar week of May 15 is known as "Police Week" according to presidential proclamation 537.

The point of this email is to inform you of something I believe everyone should be aware of. President Barrack Obama did not attend this event. This may seem insignificant, but every year for the past 21 years the president, regardless of political affiliation, has given a speech on May 15 on the steps of the U.S. capitol to the family members of fallen hero's.
I am sure the president has more pressing issues to focus on, rather than attending a ceremony for the widows, parents, and children of fallen police officers. It is understandable he may have needed to miss the ceremony for a more urgent matter and I say that with all seriousness. But, at the time of the ceremony where do you think Barrack Obama was? He was giving a tour of the White House to the 2008 world series champion Philadelphia Phillie's. I know the Phillie's are important and all, but the man could not take 30 minutes out of his day to take a short car ride 10 minutes down Pennsylvania Ave. to the Capitol, give a 10 minute speech and then drive back to the white house.
This is not a political issue and has nothing to do with being a democrat, republican, green party, independent, or whatever other political affiliation you may have chosen. This is about honoring fallen officers and paying your respects. It is obvious we know where Barrack Obama stands when it comes to supporting your local, state, and federal law enforcement officers.
I feel everyone should know what occurred on May 15, 2009. You will probably not hear this in the mainstream media so I would encourage you to share this with anyone and everyone you want.
Thank You,
Matt Young

A Long and Ineffective dialecticism occurred.
Editorial:
At the New Britain Common Council’s meeting, last Wednesday night, with the long and repetitive dialog over 89 vs. 87 percent Octane.
It is somewhat a mystery as to why the Council membership ignored the Public Works Director, Mr. Moriarty's, recommendation for the purchase of 89 percent octane gasoline to accommodate the manufacturer’s recommendation for the city’s police cruisers.
The Council with it’s long debate over this issue, appeared to be micromanaging by ignoring their manager’s recommendation, with his adhering to the manufacturer’s advice.
Aldermen Bernacki and Salvio attempted make the proper approach in following the manager’s recommendation but they were ignored by the majority of the council.
Due to the actions of the council Democrats, the police chief is left with a fleet of vehicles for which he doesn't have the appropriate fuel available. Using the lower octane is not recommended by the manufacturer, causes the engines to run roughly, and can ultimately raise mainetenance costs.
What now?

NEW BRITAIN BUSINESS ESTABLISHED IN 1888, AT IT'S SECOND RELOCATION
Mag & Son was started in New Britain in 1885--supplying men’s clothing, uniforms and work clothes to both organizations and individuals. They always had a salesperson covering New England and Eastern New York. With the advent of the internet, the company became national and even international.
The company reestablished in Berlin Conn. and currently they are now located at 171 Pascone Place in Newington, Ct. The current owners are Nathan E, and Henry Mag.
They are continuing to provide their customers: security guards, police officers, ambulance and emergency medical personnel, and fire department personnel with uniforms. They also have industrial wear that are flame resistant if required. They pride themselves with the fact that they are able to meet the mandates of the DOT and OSHA with whatever protective clothing is needed under those regulations.
Their custom made division has expanded to include large people’s uniforms, work clothing, and custom-made apparel. Mr. Nathan E. Mag is proudly shown in the photo displaying a custom uniform made for the First Company Governor’s Foot Guard.
As I arrived to interview Mr. Mag, two Police officers were just finishing placing orders for their uniform needs.
New Britain Police Report for the Month of May
Chief’s May Report:
My staff and I submitted prospective cuts in the budget to meet the Mayor’s demand that we cut our budget by 5% or $ 716,000. To meet that number I have submitted a plan not to promote a Deputy Chief and reduced our manpower by twelve police officers. I have been called to a Common Council Subcommittee Budget meeting to discuss my budget in May.
The City-wide cleanup held on Saturday, April 25, 2009 was a huge success with nearly 100 volunteers cleaning up areas of the City they chose as a project. The majority of the organizers want to do this annually and the North/Oak Street NRZ is planning to paint over building graffiti in the next few weeks to follow up on the work done to date.
I and the Division Commanders have reviewed our Strategic National Supply of pandemic flu medications distribution plan and I will hold a staff meeting to go over it with our Shift Commanders. Masks for each officer will be distributed to support each of them. Every cruiser does have a mask for airborne pathogens as well as a protective suit but we believe issuing a mask to each officer provides them with a personal protection item. Each cruiser also has sanitizing hand wash.
The Department made 838 arrests for the month with 485 being criminal in nature and 353 were infractions. The department has received a total of 4,196 cases this month. We are continuing the trend of reduced calls for service as we have recorded 527 less calls for service this year than the same time last year.
DEA TASK FORCE INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN ARREST OF MORE THAN TWO DOZEN HARTFORD-AREA RESIDENTS
Several local police departments involved; drugs, guns, cash seized
Nora R. Dannehy, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, and Brian Crowell, Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration, today announced that on Wednesday, more than 100 DEA Task Force members and law enforcement officers from several Hartford County police departments arrested 25 individuals on federal charges related to distribution of cocaine and crack cocaine in the Hartford area. During the coordinated sweep, agents and officers executed 14 search warrants and seized approximately three kilograms of cocaine, one-half a kilogram of crack cocaine, 12 firearms, and approximately $400,000 in cash. The defendants were charged in an Indictment returned by a federal grand jury on May 20. The Indictment remains sealed pending the apprehension of additional defendants.
This matter stems from a year-long investigation dubbed “Operation All In,” a joint law enforcement investigation headed by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Hartford Resident Office, and which included the use of court-authorized wiretaps.
Charged in various counts of the Indictment and taken into custody on May 27 are:
ALFRED BELL, a.k.a. “Boo Boo,” of Cadwell Road, Bloomfield,
TERRANCE BROWN, 30, of Ensign Street, East Hartford,
JACQUELINE GRAVES, a.k.a. “Fat Jack,” 44, of West Preston Street, Hartford,
JACHIN FELTON, 40, of North Mountain Road, New Britain,
PETER MAYLOR, 37, of Waverly Road, Newington,
JOHN MINTER, a.k.a. “Joker,” 40, of Cannon Road, East Hartford,
MANUEL MANSON, a.k.a. “Big Dre,” 37, of Holland View Drive, Bloomfield,
WILLIE HUNTER, 35, of Coughlin Road, Manchester,
EUGENE ARGRAVES, 41, of Ridge Road, Wethersfield,
ERIC VINSON, 42, of Lincoln Way, Windsor,
WILLIAM JUSINO, 36, of Van Block Avenue, Hartford,
CORRIE BETTS, 37, of Capen Street, Hartford
KELVIN POWELL, 41, of Forest Street, Hartford,
WILFRED SHIRLEY, 29, of Burnham Street, Hartford,
MARTIN McKREITH, 56, of Love Lane, Hartford,
SAMUEL GONZALEZ, 28, of Vine Street, Hartford,
LENARD IRVING, a.k.a. “Andre Irving” and “Little Dre,” 38, of Tiffany Road, East Hartford,
ALECK GLADNEY, 39, of Ashley Road, Windsor,
COREY PACE, 38, of Ely Road, Simsbury,
AMYIE HOPE-WRIGHT, 30, of Wall Street, Middletown,
CARL PATTERSON, a.k.a. “Coolman,” 38, of School Street, East Hartford,

STEVEN KEATON, 35, New Britain Avenue, Hartford,
ALVIN MANN, 32, Channing St., Manchester, and
EDWARD WILSON, 37, of Hurlburt Street, New Britain
If convicted, a number of the defendants face a minimum term of imprisonment of 10 years, a maximum term of life, and fines of up to $4,000,000. Due to prior narcotics trafficking convictions, a number of defendants face increased penalties.
In addition to the criminal charges, the Government intends to seek the forfeiture of several properties and vehicles that were used during the course of the alleged narcotics trafficking offenses.
“I want to acknowledge the effort of all of the agents and officers who participate on the DEA Task Force, and several other local police departments who have devoted personnel and significant other resources during the course of this extensive investigation,” stated acting U.S. Attorney Dannehy. “Drug trafficking organizations that are based in our cities should not be considered to be only our cities’ problem. These police departments from communities that surround Hartford understand that, and this investigation could not have been done without them.”
In addition to the significant resources provided by the Hartford Police Department, Acting U.S. Attorney Dannehy specifically noted the critical assistance that the New Britain, Manchester, East Hartford and Bloomfield Police Departments contributed to the investigation. In addition, the Bristol, Wethersfield, Windsor and Windsor Locks Police Department have assigned personnel to the Task Force during the course of the investigation.
Additional assistance has been provided by the East Central Narcotics Task Force, which includes members from the Manchester, South Windsor, Glastonbury, and Vernon Police Departments; the Capital Region Emergency Services Team (CREST), and the Hartford Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT).
Acting United States Attorney Dannehy stressed that an indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. Each defendant is entitled to a fair trial at which it is the Government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
This matter is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney S. Dave Vatti.

PRAVDA: American Capitalism Gone with a Whimper!
Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.
The Signing of The Credit Card Bill Into Law
Just moments ago President Obama signed into law the controversial credit card bill that was proposed by Senator Dodd of Ct.
The president made mention of the consumer groups that help with the promotion of this adverse legislation who were in attendance for the signing of this legislation.
Unfortunately, this bill grants the right for the banks to charge those who pay their full balance each month to charge these good customers a service fee, elimination of earned cash accruals pay-outs based on a percentage of their purchases, and to start charging annual fees in order to offset their losses accrued by their bad customers who left the banks with unpaid bills.
One of the consumer groups in attendance, that the President mentioned, was Connecticut’s CCAG with Mr. Phil Sherwood a representative of that organization.
Mr. Sherwood also is currently a member of the Common Council of the City of New Britain, Ct.
Alderman Sherwood must be commended for his supporting this law, which was signed by the President, granting our citizens the right to carry guns onto federal parks and forest.
